Chapter One: Let's Take It From The Top

Hi everyone! This is our blog which will help serve as a documentation of all of the fun and exciting things we plan to do with our lives together as husband and wife. First I suppose we could introduce ourselves to the readers...

My name is Ashley and I will be the one writing the majority of these blogs, as Casey has little to no interest in this sort of thing. Despite his lack of interest in blogs, I still consider myself one lucky wife to this guy and I can't wait to spend lots and lots of years with him. Aside from that, I love my current work as a trainer for a Fortune 100 company and I love spending free time with my number one passion: music. I love to sing and play piano and hope to start giving lessons in the future. I also have quite an impressive make up collection and love to do fun looks on myself and my friends.

The hub's name is Casey and he is pretty awesome. He's a big Cleveland Indians fan and loves spending time with his two beautiful nieces, Hannah and Hailey. Oddly enough he also works for the same Fortune 100 company as I do but his tenure here more than doubles my time. (Yeah, he's just a little bit older than me.) Casey is easily the funniest person I know and can make anyone laugh, which is one of the reasons I fell in love with him. He is a man's man and isn't afraid to stick up for the right thing. He's got a cute shiny bald head and the clearest blue eyes. Quite a catch, if I do say so myself.

Together we have been dating since February of 2016. Our first date was at The Rusty Bucket and Casey made it pretty clear that he was NOT looking for anything serious, but if we wanted to hang out and be friends, then that'd work just fine. I was new to Columbus and was in no position to turn away friends, so I agreed and we had a pretty good time. We saw each other again a couple days later when we met up to see Deadpool at the movie theater. Slowly but surely, we grew to like each other more than just friends and in less than a year, we were engaged and married. We both consider ourselves very lucky to have found each other and while we are fresh into this marriage, we are so thankful to God for everything He has done to bring us together.

At the end of February, we bought our first home and we will definitely have some work that we will want to do to the place to make it ours. I'll be sharing some before and after photos of the house as we do each project, just cos it's so fun!
